I have now added the improvements that I was given by my target audience. Here is my final outcome for my magazine advert:

Magazine Advertisement Draft 1 and Feedback - April

This is my first draft of my magazine advert. I have tried to match the theme of my music video and digipak as well as making it look as realistic to an advertisement as possible by keeping the features of one. I have asked for some feedback which includes responses from my target audience to allow me to gather different opinions of what people like and dislike about it. Therefore I will know how to improve my final draft.

What went well

• I really like the shots involved
• The writing is clear and easy to read
• The background has a good colour scheme
• I really like the font, it’s really easy to read and I think that the background images work well together
• I like how there is a consistent theme and that everything matches and works well with each other

To Improve

• Maybe change the font of the song title to suit the theme a bit more or make the size of it bigger
• Too much of a regimented structure on the logos and star ratings
• Make it clear who the star ratings are from 
• Make the Virgo Records logo clearer by adding the name of the company underneath

Now I have an idea of what other peoples thoughts and expectations are for my magazine advert. Therefore I know what I can do to improve it so that my target audience will like it more.

Here is our final Magazine Advertisement -

From the feedback we improved the lighting around the edges by making it more cinematic with the darkness. We made it lighter in the middle to show the chemistry between the two characters. We moved around the logos so they weren't too close together and made it clearer to the audience. We changed the font from less old fashioned to a clearer more sleek font. We also removed the barcode, as we realised a Magazine Advert does not require a barcode. We then added our production company logo to the advert, as we wanted to show it was created by us, and so it would relate to our two other products. We implemented the use of the '4 star logo' with Daily Mail beneath it so it looked as if the Daily Mail has approved our music video to be 4 star.

From this feedback of our magazine advert, we will need to improve the appropriate sections in order to make the final draft better than the first and have relevance to the music video and digipak.

This is my first draft of my digipak. I have tried to match the theme of my music video as well as making it look as realistic to an actual digipak as possible by keeping the to the features which I have learn't through my research. I have asked for some feedback which includes responses from my target audience to allow me to gather different opinions of what people like and dislike about it. Therefore I will know how to improve my final draft.

What went well

• I like that it looks like a realistic cd cover
• I really like the layout and where the pictures are put, they have been positioned well
• It looks professional
• The track list is clear and I like how the song titles have been ordered to make the shape
• There is a consistent theme whilst including different shots so it keeps it interesting

To improve

• Make the Virgo Record logo clearer on what it is
• The barcode is too white and bold
• Make the song title bigger 
• Add a bit more detail / decoration to the track list page

Now I have an idea of what other peoples thoughts and expectations are for my digipak. Therefore I know what I can do to improve it so that my target audience will like it more. 

Final Digipack - Alex

 From the feedback given, we changed the picture of the male in the bottom left to make it more dramatic. We implemented a track list in the top right slot, and make the edges darker so the text was readable. We moved the copyright symbol down to the back slot. We made our logo a lot smaller so we could add a little note above it. We then added lights in the spine to add the effect to it and relating to the lights at the start of the music video, we put in text with the name of the song, the artists name and limited edition album title.

After this Digipak, we decided the pictures were jumbled up and thought it would be a better idea to put the pictures of the actors either side of the CD cover as if they were looking at it, we changed the top right picture to the bottom left so it appeared as more structured.
