In order for our music video to look professional we need to look for actors that will play the parts well and meet our expectations. We wanted to use enthusiastic actors who match quite similarly with our chosen artists voices and would provide the best experience for the audience in terms of acting and performance skills. We had to ensure they had great facial expressions and were interested in our song and artist choice as they would be expected to learn the song. To help us find the actors perfect for our music video we carried out auditions for people who we thought would have potential. Our target audience is teenagers, therefore we chose to audition teenagers so they would match our demographics, it would also attract our target audience to want to watch it as they are of the same age group.
We auditioned 3 boys and 1 girl. When we auditioned Cerys we knew straight away she was the right person for the female part. This was because she had good skills in acting and performance so she was good at expressing emotion and lip syncing. Therefore we didn't feel the need to see any one else for this part as she met our expectations.

For the male part we auditioned Joe, Josh and Chris. We found that Josh suited the part the most as he was very enthusiastic about playing the role and seemed most skilled in this area of acting. His audition put a good impression on us as he had a lot of confidence and we thought his look would suit the part. Therefore we chose him to be our male.

Now that we have organised who our actors are we can direct them and explain what they will be doing for our project. We can sort when we can film with them and what sort of costumes they will need. They can also start learning the lyrics to our chosen song.
